Food as a Love Language

Saffron & Smoke was born from a simple conviction: Indian cuisine deserves the same reverence, technique, and presentation as any cuisine in the world.

We work with 30+ local farms in Pune, Nashik, and Satara for our produce. Our chefs travel every quarter to source rare spices directly from their origin — Kashmiri saffron, Kerala black pepper, Coorg cardamom.

The menu changes with the season. Not because it's fashionable, but because the best ingredients demand it. We print new menus every three months — guests who return find something always new, always intentional.

Do I need a reservation? +
Reservations are strongly recommended — we fill to capacity on weekends, often weeks in advance. Weekday walk-ins are accommodated when possible. For special occasions, private dining suites, or the chef's table, advance booking is mandatory.
Is there a dress code? +
Smart casual to formal. We ask that guests avoid casual sportswear (trainers, gym attire) in respect of the dining experience. There's no requirement for formal wear — dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable and confident.
Can dietary requirements be accommodated? +
Absolutely. We accommodate vegetarian, vegan, Jain, gluten-free, nut-free, and most common allergies. Please inform us at the time of reservation so our kitchen can prepare accordingly. We enjoy the creative challenge of dietary-specific menus.
Is the restaurant suitable for children? +
Yes — children are welcome, though the atmosphere is designed for adult dining. We have a limited children's menu available on request. We ask that children be supervised throughout the dining experience out of courtesy to other guests.
Can I bring my own wine or cake? +
We do not permit outside wine or beverages — our sommelier has curated a list of over 150 labels to complement our cuisine. External cakes are welcome for birthdays and celebrations with advance notice; a plating fee of ₹500 applies.
How do I book the chef's table? +
The chef's table seats exactly 6 guests and runs Thu–Sat evenings only. It books 3–4 weeks in advance typically. Call or WhatsApp us to check availability and secure your date. A 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking.
