Ananda Yoga was founded in 2012 with a simple but profound belief: that yoga is not a fitness trend — it is a 5,000-year-old science of living well. Our name, Ananda, is Sanskrit for bliss — the state of deep, unconditioned joy that is every human being's birthright.

We draw from the classical Indian yoga tradition: Patanjali's Ashtanga, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the wisdom of modern masters from Iyengar to Krishnamacharya. Every class at Ananda is designed not just to stretch the body but to quiet the mind and illuminate the spirit.

Our studio in Bandra West is intentionally designed to feel like a sanctuary — natural materials, soft lighting, living plants, and the scent of incense. The moment you step through our doors, the city recedes.

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?+
We provide high-quality mats, blocks, straps and bolsters for all students. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer. We recommend personal mats for prenatal and therapeutic classes.
Is there parking available near the studio?+
Yes — there is ample street parking on Pali Naka and the adjacent lanes. The studio is also accessible by auto-rickshaw and is a 10-minute walk from Bandra West station.
I've never done yoga before. Where should I start?+
Welcome! Begin with our Hatha Foundations or Gentle Hatha classes — these are specifically designed for beginners. Use our Practice Finder quiz above to get a personalised recommendation. Your first class is free.
Do you offer online or virtual classes?+
Yes — we offer select classes via Zoom for outstation and corporate clients. All online sessions are live and interactive (not recorded content). Contact us for online membership pricing.
What is the cancellation policy for booked classes?+
Please cancel at least 4 hours before class to release your spot for other students. Late cancellations or no-shows are counted against your monthly class credits. Emergency cancellations are handled with flexibility.
Do you offer corporate yoga programs for offices?+
Absolutely. Our Corporate Wellness program serves 20+ companies in Mumbai including firms in BKC, Lower Parel and Andheri. Sessions are available on-site at your office or virtual. We offer both one-off workshops and weekly standing programs with customised reporting.
